Author Guidelines

The DLU-JOS invites high-quality submissions from researchers worldwide. To ensure a streamlined review process, we kindly ask that you carefully review your manuscript for adherence to our editorial guidelines. Manuscripts that fall outside the DLU-JOS’s editorial policies may be returned to the authors for revision before formal peer review.

[1] Originality: The DLU-JOS expects all submissions to be original research that has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration by another journal.

[2] Manuscript format: To ensure a consistent format and expedite the review process, the DLU-JOS requires all manuscripts to adhere to the guidelines outlined in our downloadable Article Format Instructions. Please also download the manuscript template and title page from the DLU-JOS website using the links provided here:

[3] Language: Manuscripts must be written in American English.

[4] Contributor details and title page: Please ensure that all contributor information is included during online submission and submit your manuscript along with a title page.

[5] Reference style: The DLU-JOS uses the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition reference style. We encourage authors to use reference management software (e.g., Endnote, Zotero, Mendeley, among others) or Microsoft Word’s “Insert Citation” feature to streamline in-text citations and reference lists.

[6] Submission process: All submitted manuscripts are managed by the DLU-JOS Editorial Office. Those that meet our journal’s Focus and Scope and adhere to the Author Guidelines will be assigned to a relevant section editor for an initial assessment. This assessment determines whether the manuscript merits the double-blind peer review process.

[7] Peer review: The DLU-JOS employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process. After initial editorial screening, manuscripts undergo review by at least one anonymous referee. The average turnaround time for an initial decision is 90 days.

[8] Editorial policies and publication ethics: For more information about our editorial policies and publication ethics, please visit our website here.
