Call for papers: The Biennial Issue on Camellias of Vietnam
The Dalat University Journal of Science (DLU-JOS) – formerly known as the Dalat University Scientific Bulletin – is a peer-reviewed multidisciplinary academic journal sponsored by Dalat University and published since 1990. The DLU-JOS is one of the first six academic journals in Vietnam to be indexed in the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI). It is currently the only multidisciplinary academic journal published by a Vietnamese institution that is approved as a full member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), awarded the DOAJ Seal, and accepted as an official partner of Publons (powered by the Web of Science). The DLU-JOS publishes four issues a year, with full-length research articles and review articles written in English in three sections: Social Sciences and Humanities, Natural Sciences and Technology, and Economics and Management. Research in biology published in the DLU-JOS has been recognized by the State Council for Professorship of Vietnam since 2021 and awarded up to 0.75 points.
Vietnam is one of the countries with the highest biodiversity of Camellia species. Domestic and foreign scientists have researched many aspects of camellias, including species composition, conservation, and applications as medicinal herbs or ornamental plants. The DLU-JOS published a Special issue on Yellow Camellia species of the Central Highlands of Vietnam for the first time in 2021, including important studies on several Camellia species discovered in the Central Highlands. The special issue has resonated greatly and attracted the attention of domestic and foreign scholars on this topic.
To further promote research on Vietnamese camellias, the DLU-JOS will publish a Biennial Issue on Camellias of Vietnam beginning in 2023. The objective of this biennial issue is to establish the first official forum for academic exchange on Camellia species indigenous to Vietnam, with the aim of becoming a highly respected academic forum on this topic.
The DLU-JOS warmly welcomes contributions from domestic and foreign scholars to this forum. Specific information about the biennial issue follows below.
