Abstract

The main purpose of the paper is developing notation of generation system for closure mapping and applying these results to the reductive database theory. It is shown that each generation system defines a unique closure mapping and vise versa, for each closure mapping there exits a set of rules generating this closure mapping. A linear time algorithm for reducing a generation system of closure mapping is presented.
