Abstract

Although the colonialism is the theory of culture and literature that appeared at the beginning of the last decade of the twentieth century, it has had a great influence in the human thought, especially in the countries which were dominated about economics and society by the colonialism like Vietnam. Unfortunately, the fact that spreading the theory in Vietnam is still brief, sided even misunderstanding leads to the limitation when we apply this theory in authentic research, composition, and criticism. Beside analysing and explaining this fact, the article particularly focuses on proposing some efficient solutions with the aim of encouraging and developing the composition and research in Vietnamese literature and culture to the upper level that qualifies the requirements from our nation and our age.
