Abstract

In the article, we present the designed programme to separate the two overlap peaks of gamma spectrum on nonlinear or linear background for peak parameter estimation. This programme permits to strengthen the cap ability of gamma spectrometers using scintillation detector or semiconductor detector. The nonlinear and linear least squares methods to are used separate the pile up peaks.
