Abstract

Based on the fieldwork data and publicized materials by researchers, this article represents the development process of Protestantism amidst the Chil people (a local group of the Co-ho ethnic in Lam-Dong province) before 1975. Meanwhile, the paper analyzes and explains the reason why Protestantism - the religion honoring the only God-Jesus, started in the West, had many differences from the Chil's traditional polytheistic belief, but was brought into as well as strongly developed in this community.
