The general offensive and uprising in the spring 1975 was completely ended to a great victory. The great resistance against American for national salvation of the Vietnamese people and the Vietnam people’s army created a milestone point in Vietnam's history; opened a new era for our country – the era of independence, unity, and socialism. This article of the 40th Anniversary of Liberation of the South and national reunification aims to contribute on unravelling a period of Vietnam’s history by reconstructing the historical context before the general offensive, and uprising occurred, and on indicating the causes of victory, the stature and historical values of the liberation of the South, reunification, international aspects, diplomatic struggle against America and the support of the world against war justness of our people.Metrics
