In this study, 16 elements: Mg, Ca, Mn, Cu, Na, K, As, Sc, Fe, Co, Zn, Se, Rb, Cs, Hg in seven species of marine fish and seven species of freshwater fish collected from Nha Trang, Da Lat and Phan Rang were determined by INAA. The nutrients level
of nutrients was calculated and compared to recommended dietary allowance (RDA) and adequate intake (AI) of the IOM and the toxic elements, As and Hg, were calculated and compared to tolerable intake level of WHO. The results showed that the level of nutrition and toxic elements in fish is lower than RDA, AI and tolerable intake level of IOM and WHO except toxic Snakehead fish higher than other fish, but still below the tolerable intake level.
